The Recapitulator, a massage tool for healing and recapitulation.

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

Recapitulation is the art of recapturing lost energy stored in the muscles of the body from thoughts and feelings of past events, to relieve physical muscular stress or injury, a natural healing process. Self Re-examination.

Recapitulation is a core Toltec technique used to heal emotional charges. On a deeper level, it is used to reclaim energy and return it to self. Recapitulation was first introduced into mass consciousness by Carlos Castaneda in his book,  The Eagles Gift, published in 1982.

More information on this subject can be found at the Toltec Nagual site.  An excerpt from this site : Systematic recapitulation decharges emotions and frees one up to perceive the world clearly. Recapitulation releases negative emotions that are trapped in one’s subconscious freeing up their life. Many people have a habitually negative emotional state, or are moody for reasons they do not know why. More times than not, the reason lies in the suppressed emotional charges that lie in their subconscious.

Recapitulator, a massage tool used to bring attention to the memory and location of trapped energy to remove stress from the body thereby healing any area of distress upon re-examination, definition of recapitulation. We recapitulate to find out ‘the cause’ or base of our problem, discomfort or pain. The reason why we are not living in bliss because some bodily cry for help or emotion has grabbed your attention. Well, here is a simple way to fix those painful areas. Massage with the recapitulator massage tool. Sounds too simple right? Well you are already a healer that has perhaps not tried these techniques for peace of mind as well as a masterful massager to bring the attention and focus on what may be causing our pain.

It can be spontaniously revealed what the actual problem is underneath your manifested pain. you see your body wants the attention to let you know that something is haywire, there fore pain. Wake up your memories of your great self healing capabilities. You don’t have to study or read, just press where it hurts. Get quiet, slow deep breathing helps and there will be times when you will recall how that pain originated. That gives you the perfect opportunity to think that over again, recapitulate and change the affect it has made on your life.

For instance, i was massaging a place around my ankle and wondered why it hurt there. In a few seconds i remembered when i was 16 i sprained my ankle and i was afraid to walk on it normally as it created tremendous pain. So i walked at a sort of angle where by it would not hurt so bad, And believe it or not, to this day over 40 years later, the ankle sprain had healed (so i thought) and i was still walking crooked on that foot all this time. So once i re thought or recapitulated that and realized i would no longer feel that excruciating pain if i straightened that foot up and walk right. So i massage for about a 1/2 hour and worked out all the kinks that were still traumitized and voila, was so much better, i could not believe i stayed in pain so long. Actually i didn’t even know i was in pain with every step before i massaged it. We ignore so much. Now’s a good time to pay attention to ourseleves and what is going on inside.

I bet it has something to do with some of my back pain. One thing leads to another. You can check out more at http://www.nuhealth.org

When you can’t find someone to give you a Tuina massage, use the recapitulator.

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

Tuina is a form of Chinese manipulative therapy often used in conjunction with acupuncture, moxibustion, fire cupping, Chinese herbalism, tai chi and qigong. A general definition can be found at Wikipedia or by searching for more info online.

You can also search videos to watch this method in action. It looks wonderful and the philosophy behind it dates back to the 1700′s. This basic knowledge is ancient and is used by many means and healing practices of many names.

When there’s no way to get someone else to massage you, use the recapitulator massage tool to relax and press where it hurts. This induces tight muscles to loosen up and stimulate back to a healthy state by applying pressure to to the problem areas or muscles. you can get in touch with yourself, your total being and find out what’s ailing you to get satisfaction immediately. You already have what is takes, now all you have to do is apply. Begin, and continue. You can massage yourself anytime when you can’t find someone to give you a Tui na massage.

Muscle manipulation is the key in bringing attention to and relaxing any stressed muscle. Most often tight, stiff, injured muscles and surrounding areas cause pain and restrictions bringing discomforts or limited movements, plus all the psychological effects it brings, putting a damper on your whole life, being and wellness. We want to prevent problems and to correct the ones we may have. Awareness and practicing methods of relaxation is a good start for a healthy long life.

According to BalanceFlow Health and Bodyworks, they say that “those who’ve experienced both Acupressure and Shiatsu, a Tui Na session may seem like a cross between the two”. They go on to say that, “To a Westerner, TuiNa is the form of Asian bodywork most closely resembling conventional western massage.”

Nothing beats the human touch OR having a massage any style. But when you can’t afford that or even if in between your professional massage sessions, this Recapitulator massage tool will work wonders for you any time day or night and can help you with your ailments and proceed on the road to a healthy body. By pressing ‘where it hurts’ will simultaneously bring about a recapitulating experience of what has actually caused our problem to begin with. A rethinking of our old thoughts, fears and habits as we make room for the updated version of who we are today, what we have come to learn.and how we can correct what ever is not working properly.

Our daily intake of nutrients is important too. Do your research, eat more wholesome foods, use more raw vegetables in your traditional salads. Use all those wonderful natural herbs out there and that are easy to grow in general. There are many ways to increase your nutrition. If you have particular symptoms, search natural remedies for that and you will open a new door of Ah Ha’s. and will soon find out what you need for more balance. Your body needs specific nutrients to work with to function and for all parts to do the job intended..

We also want to be as care free as possible so we will have to work for it, being of this stressful world we live in. By staying in touch with how you feel in your body and working to correct any maladies you may run across in your lifetime. Manipulating the muscles and increasing the energy flow is easy to do with the recapitulator.. A self massage tool designed for body work on your entire body.

The Recapitulator is built to last, versatile with a variety of choice of attachments for different depth penetration and pressure assistance. Some muscles are close to the bone or near the skin surface and the shortest or medium upright if perfect and with this setting can work most all body areas easily, Some muscles are deep within the body structure, some with more fleshy areas like the stomach, therefore the longest upright may be the ideal choice for that area.

The deeper you have to go within the body structure, the longer the upright you choose so you can use less energy to achieve the desired amount of pressure, basically. to help relax those uptight muscles. One choice may work better or easier using a lesser amount of effort. Our body weight and gravity do the work for us with the recapitulator’s unique and simple design giving you a good solid base with which to work successfully while remaining comfortable and often going along and doing what you would be doing anyway, like TV, computer work. Put it in the back of your chair of sofa and lean back into it, Oh, that’s so good! Your stressed muscles will be to improve immediately and continue as long as needed to heal that troubled area, or to find out what is causing this grief. Once you remove the cause the symptom goes away. Fixed, eradicated, and on to the next troublesome point of interest..

All we have to do is lay back onto the tool, sit on it, roll over onto, or lean into. And hold the pressure there, as heavily or light as you wish and breathe into it for awhile, Holding the pressure in a location for as long as you can and then moving on to a nearby outlying or connected area. I can be massaging my arm and i can feel a change in my back, so there are connections we are not even aware of as yet.

To properly reach all these places, there are 3 sizes of uprights and 2 different size knob ends. One knob end can pinpoint with precision closer to the center of the cause of your pain and the other size diffuses the pressure a bit giving it a wider working area. A choice is always good. You are not limited to the knob end, a variety are available at your hardware store, you choose.

So, when you are sitting at your computer, at the office, riding in a car, sitting in a beautiful place, while watching TV, reading a book, you can grab your recapitulator tool and get rid of painful blockages one at a time, easily at your convenience. It won’t help you just sitting there, but the more you use, the more you will discover all the bodily benefits of being pain and stress free.

I have used many different styles of body tools and this one works the best for me. It has more range than any other tools we ran across in over 20 years of research and you don’t have to plug it in or hold it to apply pressure.

If you already have a massage tool you like, use it. Use whatever is within reach to work on your muscles as much as possible. You will always feel better than when you started and will often be AMAZED!

PS. If you have alot of nervousness, use the recapitulator on your whole stomach area, We carry our desires and fears there and most often some thought has created our physical problems. Breathe and relax, out with the old, in with the new.

Fears And Bad Memories Can Create Health Problems

Monday, February 16th, 2009

Fears and bad memories can create health problems and manifest as dis-ease of one sort or another. Recapitulation, re-examine of our old outdated thought patterns can save our own lives or the discomfort of escalating health issues that we have found no answers for.

By reawakening the basis of our fears, when we accepted that fear into ourselves and why we are still afraid is where you will find the answer. Pressing an area of the body where there is pain or a malady often begins the flow of internal dialog. Sustaining the pressure, getting deep down into the painful area can release to us information of what is going on inside us.

Recapitulate, rethink the things that come to mind, and out with the old thoughts as now we have gained insight into an agreement we made years ago when we planted the seed of what we then thought was our reality of what was. and now have the ability to change as we at this time see things differently. It’s only natural that we learn more as we go.

For instance, a woman afraid of getting pregnant can cause physical issues manifesting as an ovarian cyst or other. I was there, in pain, ready to go into the hospital for an operation to remove the cyst, when my husband suggested I press strongly in the area of the most pain. When i did so, memories and bad feelings of the fear i had for over 20 years prior began pouring out of me remembering all the anxiety i had over being afraid of getting pregnant, that a woman was inferior to men as it was said during my upbringing and thirdly the constant bombardment by the media about sex creating men always (in my mind)trying to take your body for simply a temporary physical satisfaction. My bad, it is no longer a problem for me.

I recapitulated (contemplated over again) all of this info and once i realized that i was too old to get pregnant, not inferior to others and could handle myself in regard to over zealous men haunting me, AND that those were OLD thoughts i was still living with and I could then LET GO of the anxiety associated with all of that and I knew things were different in my body immediately. The pain and blockage caused by this big lump in my belly, the ovarian cyst, began to subside and I knew something had changed. “…the memory became “open to modification” — just as a computer file can be changed and then rewritten to the hard disk.” I was no longer afraid.

To make a long story short, no operation was needed. The stress causing my illness had been resolved and my body automatically began its recovery. I have not had any troubles with this since and that was over 11 years ago. This is only one example of how what we think plays on our physical health and well being.

I also previously to the ovarian cyst issue got rid of my menstrual cramps in this way, by recapitulating, pressing where it hurt, both in the front of my abdomen and back all around the sex organs area, that at the time was causing uncomfortable swelling and pressure build up, in my case every other month. So much pain with lower back pain that i had to be in bed, in agony the first 2 days of my usual cycle. Wow, it felt good to get rid of that too!

Working on the chest area helped me overcome sadness, improved my breathing and made me stronger in every day life experiences. Working on the stomach area helped me with anxieties over past or future events, frustration and massaging my leg muscles regained by personal power to move forward without fear. All things that were holding me back from a happy life. Along with many more examples i could name.

Another big area of healing i found was by working on the many other parts of my body where once were injuries helped me resolve past pain from that old injury, a memory was left behind. I had physically mended but emotionally was still painful, afraid that movement there would bring back the pain i once felt back. Get over it, massage those stiff areas and release the life that once was and can be again, the freedom of movement without fear. No old memories stopping us from feeling complete and on the road to a healthy recovery from our ailments.

A good example of what i am speaking of here is a young friend of mine was jumping on a trampoline and broke his ankle. He healed physically but i noticed months after his recovery he was still walking on the side of his foot instead flat footed. So we brought this to his attention and asked why. He didn’t know other than when he was injured with the broken bones he would walk this way to avoid the excruiating pain if he walked correctly. So even after the injury had healed, the memory of the pain retarded his thoughts to be afraid of the pain that once was. He no longer had the pain from the injury but only the memory of it.

We told him to massage that whole foot area and he did. It did not take long before he was amazed and he did feel good about walking the way was intended and that all was well. What would have happened to this very young man if he had not gotten rid of his fear? As far as i could tell this could have caused him much anguish and perhaps throw his back out of wack and then forever in pain over a memory. Don’t let that happen to you.

Happy Healing! Recapitulate and find the key to unlocking the fears and bad memories. An alternative approach to natural health that can be incorporated into everyones daily life. A simple self-massage routine is the best thing anyone can do easily. Full of surprises and is rewarding for all who venture there.

For years now, every day i do body work, any place i press, most often i use the recapitulator massage tool, is what i do to prevent or repair injury. Press where it hurts, or work your body from head to toe. Sometimes we are not even aware of problem areas as we rarely take the time to examine what’s going on inside, why we hurt and what the cause may be. We can fix alot of our own problems by recapitulating whenever we get the chance.
