Massage your Dog or Cat, helps with Pets Arthritis & well being

Accupressure is an overlooked effective option for arthritis in a recent news letter for the online vet, Dr. Andrew Jones found at  www.veterinarysecretsrevealed.com who  says massage is great for your pets too. See below an except of how to massage your cat with arthritis.

I personally massage my pets to improve their health. No particular pattern but basically the neck, spine and all around the joints, their tail, head, feet, legs, the works. They, my dog and cats all love it. And they will actually work with you moving a stretching a bit which really speeds up the healing process and brings relief.

Back to our animals, Here’s what the vet says about how to massage your cat.

EAR. The ear is a microcosm of the energy pathways in your pet.
Perform gentle circling motions on the top inside of the ear –
this stimulates the back legs.
GV4. Find the last rib, go directly up to the spine, this point
is right in the depression between L2 and L3 Vertebrae.

GV20. In two areas on your pet – one is five vertebrae spaces back
from the GV4 point, this is between L7 vertebrae and S1. The
other GV20 point is at top of the head in depression on the skull,
midway between the ears. These are very effective for any type
of back injury or arthritis.

NOTE: (i massage all the vertebrae on both sides of the whole spine and my dog & cats respond by sending shivers up it that i can see and feel, so i know they are enjoying and healing moving the energy around is a good thing, circulation activity)

Even a couple of minutes helps tremendously. Massage and keep on massaging til the pain, muscle tightness or problem disappears.

My dog, i presume has arthritis because she’s 14 years old and began limping on her rear right leg, so that’s where i begin to relieve the pain caused by the traumatized or tight muscles there. Massage everywhere, pressing, squeezing, manipulating to force the tightness to breakdown and get the blood flow back to any given area. When the muscles are tight it restricts such normal energy and flow. She is not limping after a 10 to 15 minute massage but it comes back after awhile so i do it again. I see the limping decrease every time, so i believe it works. I know it does cuz i do the same for myself.

You can even practice on your self so you know how it feels or what feels good and how hard or light to press.

I also massage my 2 cats and they come back for more. I have a male cat that had a very mean mom (not me but his real mother) and he may have stayed away from females due to being hurt by a female so he was plenty friendly with men but shyed away from women. But he now comes and sits on or close to me and loves to be close to me, he really works the massage with me by stretching and moving his body and they will even lick your hands while you are massaging them so i know they love it and are thanking us for the attention. You can tell, try it and you’ll see what i mean. Don’t leave your reptiles out, i have a friend that massages his (i’m not sure what kind it is)but a larger lizard and when he walks by his cage the lizard stretches his neck out so far, sort of appears as he is asking to be touched and massaged. When you do so, you can see him loving it. The animals become less agressive and more relaxed, land that’s everybody’s goal. Any person or any animal i have seen love massage, it does feel good even if you have to do it for yourself.

If you have a nervous pet this may calm them down to. Number one, they have your attention and that is most likely what they seek AND number two it feels wonderful to liberate muscles from any stress from whatever the cause.

You can tell when an area needs massaging because you can feel where the muscles are not in their normal state. They may be inflamed, tight, bumpy or feel bigger where they shouldn’t. If exploring on yourself you can tell what it feels like and how much pressure to apply and how to work it by pressing, squeezing, manipulating in such a way to wake up and break down that tight muscle, relaxing it and bring the blood back circulating again through the distressed area or any area for that matter. Blood that brings our nutrients to our entire body. If the muscle is tight, how can things be properly nourished? We can make a difference to our physical presence and do it yourself, for free.

    I encourage you all to massage every chance you get you will see the immediate affects and has long range potential for difficult areas to heal your selves, friends and your PETS.

    Also thinking about our pets, our best friends nutrition, their food what are we feeding them? Nutrition also plays a role in health. I like natural things, so i am discouraged when looking to find a substantial product out there to provide the good without all the chemicals and by products. After reading the ingredients on most of the commercial pet food out there, i decided to make my own, at least i will know exactly what’s in it and can add more important vitamins through a variety of foods we already have in our homes. For instance, instead of byproducts in the can i cook chicken, and use leftover items like rice, 9 grain cereal we may have had for breakfast, carrots, other veggies, parsley (good for digestion), flaxseed, wheatgerm and many more i haven’t even gotten to as yet. But i would say start them when they are young trying as many healthy items as you can as when they are older they are a bit fussy. There is much online and so you can adapt to your own personal habits, the door is wide open.

    I mix up the chicken with other goodies and my dog eats it up and i then know she is getting the nutrients that are important in maintaining a healthy body. I am going to start making her dog bones too and found a lot of choices at Amazon. The one i got was, the doggy bone cookbook but there are so many homemade recipes online for free, even videos, so do some research. Like making cookies, your children may get a kick out of cooking for your pets too. You can make a batch and mold into patties and freeze using as needed. You can take one pattie out the night before and keep in fridge to be ready for you in the morning.

    A recipe from my book is as follows just to give you an idea of how easy it is to assure your pet a healthier option.

    ‘veggiebite’ 

    3.5 cups whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup cornmeal, 1/8 cup dices red bellpeppers (optional), 1/2 cup shredded carrots, 1/2 cup of unsalted sunflower kernels, 1/1/4 cup water, 1 clove garlic (i use more) and 3 tbls oil. Preheat oven at 350 degrees, mix water and oil. Add flour, cornmeal veggies, garlic and sunflower seed. Knead dough for 2 to 3 minutes and roll to 1/4″ thick. Cut dough into bone shapes or use a cookie cutter and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 30 mminutes, Makes 2 1/2 dozen. You can also add cheese or peanut butter, 2 of my dogs favs.

    (salt i hear is not good for dogs, mine puked once when i had salted her food, to keep in mind and NO chocolate at all, keep out of their reach. Makes them sick)

Dear David and all who have neck and back aches,
 
I understand your dilemma, 10 years ago i had such a pain in the neck the doctors said “nothing much we can do at this point other then give you something for the pain” and said when it gets back enough (they called it ‘degenerative spine’ disease), wait and then we can operate. Well,
 
That was the first time in my 47+ years that i felt so helpless, and started searching for another way to fix my neck and lower back problems. I did something i bet we all naturally do. I grabbed those muscles that hurt the most, the ones that really get your attention and squeezed as hard as i could.
 
I noticed that when i pressed on those stiff painful muscles down my neck and shoulders, or in back at the pelvis hip areas of the most pain I noticed there was somewhat of an improvement, found a bit of relief from that pounding constant pain restricting every movement and even when i wasn’t moving. the more i worked those muscles the better i felt.
 
After pressing really deep & by working those rigid lumps and bumps and places that feel like a steel cable, squeezing, pressing deep and moving back and forth or just staying still pressing as hard as you can for as long as you can comfortably, (you can actually feel where your muscles are out of whack and need work) i could move my head a little easier.
The muscles along the spine at the neck were so distraught they felt like bone and i really had to press much harder in those areas to get those muscles to wake up again. Quickly found the more you work on it the better it feels, the more relaxed you and your body becomes. Continue to follow where the pain leads you next, chances are it’s connected.
 
Stress had caused these muscles to seize up resulting in seized up tight muscles and very painful. Discovered while doing this bodywork that the neck aches were from an emotional trauma i was going through at the time (those kind of things happening in your outside world can really make your head hang low, not in harmony) and my lower back was a physical problem of lifting things too heavy for my body weigh and injuring the muscles there in the lower back.

I know for a fact i am describing common ailments many people may have. I can only say there are a few things you can do to heal and recover from these natural disasters.  the only relief i have ever found that was the Recapitulator. Sadness is a powerful emotion that we all have witnessed first hand. Sadness manifests in the heart chakra area, look at Sandra Bullocks first photo after leaving Jesse. Look at the chest (heart chakra area) and her neck (throat, communication chakra). Lumpy and bumpy full of sadness and pain. If someone out there knows Sandra Bullock, get this to her, she can help herself feel better faster. And tell her ‘we love her’, only a fool would not. Jesse James, what in the world were you thinking?

Life is like a sand painting, you know how the Native Americans, Tibetan Buddhists, Hindu and perhaps other cultures as well. They create a painting of different colored sand, and after days or weeks after creating the intricate pattern of the sand Mandela, the sand is brushed together and placed in a body of running water to spread the blessings of the mandala. An awesome meditation practice to show us that we can create a beautiful picture, but that the journey was the gift, not only the picture that was the result. Then when we have gained the knowledge of creating, we learn how to let go, not to cling to what we have created as if that is the best or all we can do, there will be more beautiful life experiences we can create, so Sandra and to us all, maybe it’s time to start a new sand painting.

Maybe this is what was supposed to happen for the highest good of ALL. It is sending a message to all men and this is good. People who want to be with other women maybe should not marry.  i have been recapitulating things this way more and more, are my thoughts and actions for the highest good of all, then i know i am on the right path and that what i want is worthy.

Here are a few helpful hints for relieving the sad energy so that your body can realign and flow as intended.

Nice slow deep breathing is an important place to start. Take deep breaths in and out. You have many choices here:

1.  Take deep breaths in and out and near the end of the exhale say the word ‘PEACE’ and continue. I’ve not had to go past 4 or 5 but there are no rules here.

2. Your breath can be seen and expressed as a circle and not a in and out procedure. Let me explain. The circle breath is a continuing in and out energy, unceasing air flow with no stops. Whereas many breathe a in and out breath whereby the flow is generally not even, some take more air in then they release (holding onto the air for dear life and tend to be overweight) and still others take in very little air and exhale all they have. Both are not the ideal scenario. Breathe in and out and continue right on to the out breathe, there should be no beginning or end, just continual breathing. It’s very relaxing and balances your energies bringing you back to calmness and open for JOY.

Here’s the circle idea and how to easily experience and achieve this energy balance in harmony with all. You may notice that these breathing exercises practiced whenever, utilized throughout your day, will help still your mind and relax you tremendously.

Start by breathing in slowly for a count of 4, hold the breath for 4 sec, release the breath in the same time, 4 sec, hold another 4 secs consciously releasing any residue negative feelings. Repeat and do this exercise as many times as needed to feel calm and at peace. You will find your breathing becoming more in pace with your higher self who is not afraid but living in Beauty & Joy. Remember your breathing is a continual operation with no end and no beginning, simply continues.

You can make this exercise your own and use 10 seconds to breath in and 10 seconds to breath out. Your breath in turns directly into your breath out and visa versa.

3. Place the tip of your tongue at the gum line behind your top teeth and breath in through your nose, a slow relaxed breath. And exhale through your mouth keeping your tongue up behind your top front teeth. You can do this for awhile lets say 5 times or so then reverse this keeping your tongue up behind the front teeth, and breath in through your mouth and exhale through your nose.

4.You can also at any time check your breathing pattern. Is it continual? Does every inhale go directly to the exhale? Practice this and you will begin to see how effective paying attention and making minor adjustments is. Once you are more relaxed, at ease, everything you do will become a pleasure instead of a chore. Same stuff, different feeling.

If you pay attention to your body, your breathing, your inner world you will know what needs adjusting and will find lasting rewards.

Massaging your chest area will improve your life too. You can easily press any area while doing the breathing techniques and they will become part of you faster once your relax your chest, your heart chakra area. Lots of emotions going on there!!

I find lumpy and bumpy and often times painful areas throughout the chest area. So, i press these little buggers until the tight muscles relax and release there hold. I also find i have feelings stored there, most of what i found was old news, so i let go of those old memories knowing more today then when i made those agreements with myself to hold on to that suffering instead of being free of that momentary thought that we are clinging to for some reason. Let go breath in a fresh new breath, Breathe deeply with new sparkling light coming in and drink some good water.

Massage your whole chest area for Sadness and sentimental sorrows (sighing) 1. Massage and work deeply the rib cage up to the collarbone.
Work deeply under collarbone all the way along and in the middle notch.
2. Work under breast muscles , as far up as possible, removing any tenderness. 3. Sculpt along each rib, removing tenderness and muscle tightness or spasm. 4. Plus i always find that ‘pressing’ or massaging with or without a massage tool, anywhere you have pain or are sensitive brings your attention there and by applying the pressure, easily releases the tension there for healing, so that our bodies function as they are meant to.

This is awesome for Everyone to do. We have been taught to stay away from the painful areas but i find you have to face them strongly, head on, as our goal is to feel GOOD and we want to get rid of anything that does not fit the highest and best happiness possible in any given moment.

This idea can also be called recapitulation. As we press these painful areas, a thought, a memory of something from the past, present or a fear of the future may  come to mind. Then we examine that thought, that ray of light coming in cuz we really automatically want to fix what’s wrong and not perfect. We think about that to check to see if this is the Truth or some old feeling that is still hanging around. That is recapitulating and that is why we call this wonderful tool we tout, the Recapitulator.

Your hands are an awesome tool we have with us all the time and this works just fine, to a point. I find my tight areas are really tight and i would have to press with my thumb, fingers, knuckles for way longer than i often have the energy for, to completely knock out that locked, seized up muscle. So this recapitulator massage tool makes it easier to hold the sustained pressure on the tight spot for a lengthy time. For the chest i use the medium upright, small or larger knob end, hug the board and pressing right where it hurts. Moving it when ever you are drawn to, there lots of body work to be done and much unnecessary bad feelings and emotions unheard still clinging on. Let’s get rid of what feels unwanted and gain a power of being the person intended to be. There are no limits, unless we have set them up ourselves.

Another way to use a massage tool or the like is to roll over onto the knob end while on the couch or laying in bed, giving you complete control over how much pressure you apply. The basic natural healing process is to press around the chest area or any other choice area of the body, give it some power, some intent, press hard. Find those painful areas and stay right there pressing, sustaining the hold and digging down in there as deep as possible. HOLD as long as you can. Sometime you can as well as holding that pressure there, you also move along to the connecting muscles, inching your way along. Plus, like in this case when you are working on your chest you can start moving your shoulders up & down, in a circle forward and backward all while pressing and moving the point of pressure to accommodate following the pain or tight rigid muscle along, until relieved. The lumps and bumps, i assure you will go away. Don’t just believe me, Try it! Maybe practice moving in a figure 8 or infinite motion alternating shoulders. (this infinity motion feels great for your hips too) Or then Roll your neck, turn back in forth, up and down, all around. Even swinging your arms in a big circle loosening up that whole upper body area. All this while pressing your chest area. It will all start to open up and start connecting with the rest of your body. Wow, that feels great.

Another tip i have recently started to use is just a simple tapping all over your chest are. Use your finger tips, knuckles or flat hand and be sure to tap up under your collar bone, there in the center. This point is part of what i hear is a meridian, a acupuncture point used to get the energy or chi flowing again, what a bonus. Love is the key, once a day you can say to your self or out loud, “i deeply and completely love and accept myself.” I feel calm and confident” as i know today is unlimited and is yet to be created. You can make your own statements as exampled above, remember there are no rules and i believe we already know what to do, we just have to awaken it. These are a few of the statements you can also say while doing this EFT tapping, it does get that stagnate energy swirling around again for a much faster recovery and on the road to being in control of your own personal destiny instead of a victim of any external blow fate may have is store and totally for us to learn by. You can make this your own as we are individuals but we DO have so much in common.

We really do want to love and be loved, starting with ourselves, let’er rip. Everything is an exchange, be open to giving AND receiving. Everyone does not think like we do, give them SPACE and time.

Did you hurt your back? Turn your office chair into a massage tool

Massage tools are wonderful. The other day i once again lifted a box that was way too heavy for me considering my body size. Ouch!! My lower back and hips are in extreme pain with every movement. Thank goodness i have a recapitulator this is the only massage tool that suits all my needs and is solid to use comfortably and effectively in so many easy to learn applications.

For instance, today i have to do alot of computer work, so i turned my office chair into a massage tool. I work on all the sore areas of my back usually consisting of neck, all around the shoulder, middle of the back above the kidneys, and of course my most painful is around my pelvis area. So i use the medium bolt and the larger knob (attached at the end or middle of the board), turn the board sideways into the back of my chair and lean back. Ahhhh!!

I found that by applying pressure to the place that hurts will relieve the buildup of energy there or to any given area. When i strained my lower back muscle, the injury immediately swelled up in that area and when i ran my hand across my lower back it was quite lumpy, bumpy and painful in the areas that mainly had those lumps and bumps that weren’t supposed to be there for a normal, healthy back.

So by having the recapitulator in the back of my chair all i have to do is lean back a bit, use a little more push at times, stretch it out a bit anything to induce the muscle to move and relax. We love our bodies and we can feel better by loving ourselves enough to trying a self massage ourselves instead of doing without this fantastic relief that will also strengthen you simply by ‘pressing where it hurts’.

In those moments when waiting for a page to load, thinking about this or that, wondering what to do next, i massage with my recapitulator. A great way to make the most of your time, your body will thank you and you will feel better much faster.

I am beginning to think that if you give away what you know and pass that on, then all the gifts people have if they gave their special knowledge away in a innocent real way, with no expectation of a personal gain, that is what would make the world a better place with happier people that actually do benefit mankind and feel good every day when we can tune into it and live by common sense from the heart. Easy Health remedies for todays concerns

  • eat good food, stock up on long lasting food like beans, grains, rice, start growing your own food. Start eating healthy! Good water and different types of fruits, nuts & vegetables provide the nutrition our bodies need to work at an optimum and provide illness resistant supporting healthily functions of the body. Start researching and you will be surprised how easy it is to incorporate top nutrient variety into your daily diet.

    Pay attention to your instincts and what makes sense to you naturally when you begin to examine and assimilate all the info, Learn more. and perhaps start thinking about starting your own healthy garden with life sustaining foods.

    I use a empty coffee can and put in egg shells, vegetable scraps, old garlic past it’s time, etc, any compost items, (but i didn’t add any meat or chicken, not sure why) but trying to keep this natural way of composting as pure as can be to make a healthy soil for your new garden and in doing a part in making the earth replenish with original nutrients. i think that’s an awesome idea anyone can do to improve their own yards earth. I avoid putting in there any thing i suspect of having any kind of pesticides and potentially harmful characteristics.

    I’m no expert in this area but i just started by digging a hole and emptying my coffee can full of compost goodies in the hole and cover up with some old nutrient drained or dry dirt or some leaves to barely cover up the raw food, then the sun does the rest and it doesn’t smell much and eventually will break all those veggie leftovers down to make an excellent nutritious soil booster. Then start spreading it around. i even used a large planter to do some composting works and the wonderful earth you create by composting smells great! just like to old days!!

  • We also bought alot of different kinds of tea and wholesome cereals to keep on hand as they store and last quite a long time. We found west soy milk has a long shelf life and is organic, another healthy product to have on hand. Buy it warm to store, if you buy it already refrigerated you will need to use it now. Why not be prepared about our survival, our nourishment, and becoming more self sufficient.

    Also SAVE THE heirloom seeds you are getting for free when you buy a fruit or vegetable. Use a tomato or pepper for instance, have a save seed plate to place seeds from every vegetable you use. I buy different kinds of beans for instance not only to enjoy the taste but to get fresh seeds for the future. Very sweet idea!

  • Get at least 5-10 minutes in the sun, 3 times a week. The sun is the best source for vit. D which we naturally produce through our skin with exposure. Darker skin stay in sun longer. You will be surprised the new energy you will find when you take the time to take it in. Many healing benefits!
  • we heard and keep hearing to stay away from vaccines as they supposedly have disease in them. so if you weren’t sick you would be after the flu shot. Research the subject to be informed and for an intelligent response.
  • we heard ‘oil of oregano’ can buy at health food stores, maybe other types of stores too. heard it is excellent at getting rid of viruses, bacteria, and the pathogens that cause the flu, and good for respiratory system among other things it’s good for. Reading on this subject reveals this is a good preventative source and improves your immune system among other benefits. Look it up or ask at your local health food store.

    Basically all herbs i know of are good healthwise and widely available so investigate and find out more about natural healing information that has been practiced for such a long time, so many healers from so many places around the world work with nature and its gifts and this is something easy we can provide for ourselves. So much talk about it, must be something to it.
